“Spooky Spider Plant” Workshop is a kid plant activity workshop for ages 5-10.
Kiddos create a Halloween-themed planted pot containing an air purifying houseplant. Every week in October, a new spooky or Fall themed planting activity will be offered.
It takes place every Thursday in October from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at SMPS. Please have students come to the science lab after school on plant workshop days!
Participants will engage in a creative, hands-on project where they pot air purifying houseplants decorated to look like spooky spiders, bowl of brains, a succulent stuffed pumpkin and more. These activities make it an educational and festive way to celebrate Fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Spider plants, strings, succulents and organic herbs are particularly kid-friendly classroom plants due to their easy care and unique appearance.
The activity also includes fun crafts such as pom-pom and pipe cleaner spiders.
This workshop encourages learning about plant care and the role of spiders in nature, helping children appreciate the natural world in a playful, engaging environment.
It provides an opportunity for children to learn responsibility by caring for their plants after the workshop.
ALL STUDENTS MUST BE POTTY TRAINED:)
