This allows for students who might not be able to afford workshop classes due to financial or transportation constraints still have the opportunity to learn all about plants in workshops hosted after school! 

Spark your child's love for gardening with our Cold Hardy Organic Leafy Greens Workshop, designed specifically for elementary through high school students! This hands-on, interactive workshop will teach young gardeners all about growing nutritious leafy greens from seed, including lettuce, kale, and Swiss chard, which can thrive even in freezing temperatures.

What You'll Learn:
Led by our knowledgeable instructors, participants will learn how to grow, care for, and harvest their favorite organic leafy greens. Through engaging activities, kids will discover essential gardening techniques, including planting seeds, watering, and ensuring healthy growth.

What You’ll Take Home:
- Three Potted Leafy Green Plants: Each student will leave with three vibrant potted leafy greens, perfect for enhancing their home garden or kitchen.
- Six-Cell Potted Tray of Selected Leafy Green Seeds: Young gardeners will also receive a tray of specially selected seeds for planting a variety of delicious greens, giving them the chance to start their own mini garden.
- All Inclusive Materials: We provide everything needed for the workshop, including high-quality soil, pots, young plants, seeds, and a plant care journal to document their gardening journey.

No refunds are available for workshop registration.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend. To do this, please email info@rootedchicago.com with the subject line "Ticket Transfer: [Name of Workshop]" using the same email address that was provided at registration. Include the full name & email address of the person who you would like to transfer your ticket to. We'll take it from there!

If you provide I days' notice and we are able to fill your spot, we may be able to issue a credit toward a future workshop.

In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).
